We are pleased to introduce Soror Candace E. Pinkney, PHR, Life Member #2386, who is seeking re-election as Southwestern Region Nominations Chair. Soror Pinkney is a distinguished human resources executive and dedicated leader whose professional and sorority service reflect strategic leadership, organizational excellence, and a strong commitment to community impact.

Professionally, she serves as a Regional Human Resources Manager for CarMax, leading multi-state HR strategy focused on associate engagement, leadership development, performance management, compliance, and organizational culture. Her career also includes HR leadership roles with Amazon, The Coca-Cola Company, and AT&T. She holds an MBA in Data Analytics from LSU, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University Montgomery, and maintains her PHR certification.

Within Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Soror Pinkney brings over 15 years of continuous service. As Southwestern Region Nominations Chair (2024–Present), she established the Step Up to Lead leadership readiness series and the Southwestern Region Undergraduate Internship Program to strengthen the leadership pipeline. She also serves as Grammateus of the Mu Sigma Chapter and Assistant Rhoer Advisor. Her leadership has been recognized with honors including Mu Sigma Chapter Soror of the Year, the Southwestern Region Legacy Builder Award, and the Baton Rouge NPHC Polaris Distinguished Service Award.
