Support the Area V Women's Wellness Initiative
Our chapters in South Louisiana Chapters and Affiliates of the Southwestern Region of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. are launching a $5,000 fundraising campaign to support the New Orleans Women & Children’s Shelter, with the ultimate goal of securing naming rights for a designated space within the shelter.
Why This Matters
This initiative is about more than placing our name on a room—it is about creating a lasting investment in a safe and supportive space for families working toward stability and self-sufficiency.
The New Orleans Women & Children’s Shelter provides shelter and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness, helping women, children, and families work toward sustainable independence. Supporting a designated space within the shelter gives Area V an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy while directly advancing the goals of the Sorority's Women's Wellness Initiative.
How You Can Participate
Our goal is to raise $5,000 by Founders’ Day – November 12, 2026. We are asking Area V to come together through the following giving opportunities:
