We are pleased to introduce Soror Debbie Wilburn, MSA, CPA, Life Member #1203, and Ruby Member, who is seeking the Office of International Grand Tamiochus of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.
Soror Wilburn is a Certified Public Accountant and seasoned financial leader with over 30 years of professional accounting experience and more than 16 years of dedicated service to Sigma Gamma Rho. She is a proud member of Eta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter (Oak Lawn, IL) and is currently serving her third two-year term as Central Region Tamiochus, where she provides trusted financial stewardship and strategic leadership to the region.
Soror Wilburn is seeking the office of International Grand Tamiochus because she believes our sisterhood deserves transparent, disciplined, forward-looking, and results-driven financial leadership. After years of delivering measurable outcomes at the local and regional levels, she is prepared to scale that impact internationally—strengthening financial governance, elevating financial training, and bringing proven experience, clear priorities, and steady leadership to the role. Her vision is focused on protecting our resources, strengthening our systems, and building a financial legacy worthy of Sigma Gamma Rho’s future.
As Central Region Tamiochus, Soror Wilburn led significant improvements in financial processes, compliance, reporting, and audit readiness. Her leadership modernized regional financial operations through updated Financial Standard Operating Procedures, Asset Capitalization, and Document Retention policies, reinforcing accountability and fiduciary oversight. She introduced a training-centered financial leadership model, delivering quarterly financial training, creating a comprehensive Tamiochus Resource Guide, and helping to develop and launch F.O.C.U.S. (Financial | Operations | Compliance | Understanding | Strategy)—a sisterhood-wide financial training initiative designed to improve financial competency, consistency, and stewardship at every level. Under her stewardship, the Central Region achieved strong liquidity, disciplined reserve growth, enhanced transparency, and improved audit preparedness, strengthening trust and long-term financial stability.
Professionally, Debbie serves as Controller at Braven, Inc., where she leads organizational accounting and financial management in support of mission-driven growth. She is also the Founder of D. Wilburn & Associates, LLC, providing accounting, consulting, bookkeeping, and tax services to nonprofits, small businesses, and individuals. In addition, she serves as Board Treasurer of REACH Community Services, a 501(c)(3), applying sound governance in service to community impact.
Let’s S.O.A.R. together and secure the financial future of Sigma Gamma Rho.
