Soror Shaundria Woodard - Candidate for SWR Anti-Grammateus

Greetings Sorors of the Super Southwestern Region,

Thank you for attending the Southwestern Region Candidates’ Forum and for your support of my candidacy for the 2026–2028 Southwestern Region Anti-Grammateus of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

My name is Shaundria Woodard, Life Member #1960, Military Soror, and a proud member of Gamma Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Houston, Texas. I was inducted in the Kappa Mu Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. at Sam Houston State University in Spring 2005.  I currently serve as Chapter Epistoleus, a member of the Southwestern Region Military Initiatives Committee, and Chairperson of the Gamma Sigma Charitable and Educational Foundation (GSCEF).

I previously had the honor of serving as Southwestern Region Anti-Grammateus from 2014–2018 under 20th Past Syntaktes Henry Etta O’Neal and 21st Past Syntaktes LaShonda M. Johnson, while simultaneously serving as Basileus of Gamma Sigma Alumnae Chapter from 2016–2018. This dual leadership experience provided firsthand knowledge of regional governance, executive collaboration, reporting compliance, and the responsibility of preserving our regional legacy.

For 26 years, I served in the United States Army in key leadership roles, including Construction Engineer Supervisor, Motor Transport Operator, and Sexual Harassment/Assault Response & Prevention Victim Advocate (SHARP VA). My military service strengthened the leadership principles that guide how I serve Sigma:

Accountability: In the military, documentation protects people, missions, and institutions. Precision is non-negotiable. I bring that same disciplined approach to ensuring our regional records are accurate, compliant, and reliable.

Leadership with Structure: I led teams, enforced standards, and ensured adherence to regulations and timelines. Structure creates order, and order sustains excellence.

Guidance & Integrity: As a SHARP Victim Advocate, I handled confidential matters with discretion, empathy, and ethical responsibility. I lead with compassion while upholding policy.

Operational Excellence: Preparation prevents problems. Clarity prevents confusion. Consistency builds trust.

These principles anchor my platform: Sigma R.E.C.O.R.D.S. Are W.R.I.T.E. with Woodard. My focus is on preserving our legacy, strengthening leadership development, and ensuring long-term sustainability for every current and future Anti-Grammateus. I am committed to maintaining accurate and organized regional records while equipping undergraduate and graduate chapters with the tools, training, and transparency they deserve.

I do not seek this office simply to take minutes.I seek to protect our history. To strengthen systems. To mentor future Recording Secretaries. To uphold transparency. To ensure every chapter is supported.

With Sisterhood, Structure, and Stewardship, I am prepared to lead with integrity and serve with purpose.

Sorors, when you vote during the 85th Southwestern Regional Conference in Tulsa, March 11–16, 2026, I humbly ask you to make the WRITE choice.

✔ Vote WRITE.✔ Vote WOODARD.

Because when we record with excellence, we protect the legacy of our sisterhood.
