The Southwestern Region is taking action once again! As we continue our advocacy efforts, we are heading to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for another impactful Day at the Capitol.

About the event
Louisiana Day at the Capitol offers members and affiliates of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. a hands-on civic engagement experience, providing direct exposure to the legislative process, policy discussions, and advocacy in action. Participants will attend committee hearings, engage in the public record process, and be formally recognized on the House Floor as part of Sigma Gamma Rho Day at the Capitol.
Please note: Charter bus transportation is limited to 50 participants. Members are welcome to meet us directly at the Capitol if they prefer to travel independently.
Event Timeline
7:30 AM – Bus departs (Southern Mini Dome)
8:00 AM – Arrival at Louisiana State Capitol
8:30 AM – Welcome, Opening Remarks & Legislative Briefing (Elenore Room)
