Project Cradle Care

The Area II Project Cradle Care Initiative invites the Sorors and Affiliates of Oklahoma to unite in raising maternal health awareness in Oklahoma City and across the state.

At the heart of this effort is our partnership with the Oklahoma Birth Equity Initiative, a community-based organization dedicated to improving birth outcomes by addressing racial disparities in maternal and infant health. OBEI focuses on education, advocacy, and workforce development to ensure families receive culturally responsive, equitable care before, during, and after birth.

Through this initiative, our goal is to sponsor seven maternal health advocates to complete doula certification through the Oklahoma Birth Equity Initiative. These trained doulas will be equipped to provide informed, compassionate support to birthing people, advocate for safe and respectful care, and strengthen maternal health outcomes in communities that need it most.

By supporting this initiative, you are investing in sustainable solutions that empower local advocates, expand access to care, and advance health equity for mothers and babies across Oklahoma.

Together, we can turn awareness into action and help create healthier beginnings for generations to come.
