Why This Initiative is Important
Swim 1922 aims to bridge gaps in swimming proficiency and water safety within underserved communities, where drowning rates remain disproportionately high.
Empowerment: By offering swim clinics and educational programs, Swim 1922 provides individuals with essential life-saving skills, reducing fear and apprehension associated with water activities. It promotes education and access to swimming resources to help prevent drowning incidents.
Community Impact: The initiative reduces drowning risks in both recreational and flood related events, increases swim participation, and fosters inclusivity in aquatic sports. It can create a culture of safety and awareness benefiting current and future generations.
Unified Service: Swim 1922 brings together organizations, community leaders, and residents in a shared mission promoting safety, education, and community service.
